Sick at Christmas :(

Hi all! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your families! My little Aaron and I both got sick a few days before Christmas and we're still feeling it, so we didn't have the best Christmas this year. :( I barely got any pictures, which is very hard on me since I'm a scrapbooker! I've bought all of these Christmas embellies for Aaron's album, but I guess it will have to wait until next year! On the present front, Aaron got way more than we have room for. I can't believe how spoiled this kid is. But he is so cute, who can resist? Look at all of this:

He got so, so much. New shoes, lots of new clothes, a VTech learning train, a huge thing of blocks, an easel, a ton of books and DVDs, lots of Leap Frog stuff, and a few Elmo things of course! He got the new Elmo chair, slippers, an Elmo bike, and 5 new talking/singing Elmos. I don't know where all of this is going to go! Jamie and I got way more than we deserved too! He got me a GORGEOUS diamond and pink sapphire necklace! He placed the small box in a bigger box that was full of money! I didn't even see the necklace at first! I'm so excited to have extra money because tomorrow I'm going to shop the Recollections sale and to another awesome store, so I can buy anything I want now!!! He sure knows what makes me happy! I got him a new IPOD that he is crazy about! We also got a ton of gift cards and clothes of course. But I got a few fun things-my Cuttlebug (YAY!), Lucy stuff-my planner, calendar, night light and new ornaments, I got a super cute Elmo tee! :) Lol. I also got refills for my photo printer, some Bath and Body stuff and some Pampered Chef stuff. And can you see the frame on the right hand side near the bottom? How cute is that? Can't wait to put some pics in it of Aaron. It is so much more detailed in person! SO CUTE!

Well, those are unfortunately about the only pics I have to share. ZERO good pics of Aaron from Christmas, and I'm been to tired and sick to do any crafting! I hope to be back to share some new things soon!

3 Days till Christmas!

I can't believe how fast Christmas has snuck up on us! I'm so excited because Aaron will actually be alert and able to open presents this year! I can't wait! I had the best day yesterday! Spent the entire day shopping! Aaron and I went in the morning with a friend, but didn't really find much. Then when I came home and checked the mail, I GOT BLOG CANDY!!! So excited! Look at the beautiful card Janaina sent me!

Isn't it gorgeous! She is so talented! Then, look at all the goodies she sent me! Daisy D's Christmas stickers and rub ons, the cutest paper stack that I can't wait to use for my niece's album, a chipboard tree that will be in my scrapbook soon, and (you can't see them) some adorable baby stamps!

You should definitely check out her blog http://2worldswings.blogspot.com/ . She is wonderful and her work is amazing!

Then I went shopping with my mom and got a few last minute things, and even got a few treats for myself! We have a ribbon outlet about a half hour away, so I went there and filled up 2 huge shopping bags of ribbon spools and only paid $6! Then I got my husband his Ipod that he has been asking Santa for, and then we went to ACMoore! I needed some new mats for my Cricut Expression, I got my niece a huge tub of foam stamps for $5 (she's a little crafter!), I got a DCWV chipboard stack that I can't wait to tear into, and I got a new pack of $15 pens for $3!!! My mom also bought me a Cuttlebug and a few texture plates for Christmas!!! So excited! After all the discounts, she only paid $35 for it! I love ACMoore!

Well, I need to go and start my day. I only have about a hundred things to do today-no pressure! I just thought I'd post one of the photo screens I've been working on for Christmas. I used the MME paper pack that I bought at Costco a few months ago. The orange flowered sections towards the bottom are pockets, and the plaid mats are for photos. I'm giving this one to my mom with pictures of Aaron of course! It needs a few more embellishments, but I thought I'd go ahead and post since I probably won't be back until after Christmas! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, and you get to spend it with all the people you love!

Blah day...

I've been a little lazy today. I have so much to do, yet I seem to have no oenergy at all. So Aaron and I have just been relaxing at home playing, and I even let him have an early Christmas present! I really need to finish my photo screens for Christmas, but I'm just not in the mood. I may work on them when Aaron takes his nap, but maybe I'll just rest too! I need to conserve my energy for the next 6 days! I just wanted to come and post a picture of Aaron, my niece, nephew, and Jamie's cousin. Aren't they the cutest?

What a great day!

What a wonderful day we had here! A little cold though. Which I hate. I miss summer! First of all, Aaron let me sleep in until 7:15! He is normally up everyday by 6, because that is what time he gets up on days that I work. So sleeping in until 7 is a big deal! Then after church, our niece came home with us to "help" me make lunch and bake cookies. So we had grilled cheese, soup, and hot chocolate, because ITS COLD!! And if you listened to her, she basically made the entire meal herself! Then we made sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and some Rice Krispies treats. Here's a picture of the cookies she decorated. I only did one-the purple and pink candy cane! :)

Then we crafted a little! I love having her around-she is so much fun. She made a bunch of paper flowers and a vase for her Nana (I wish I would've taken a picture-it was wonderful!), and I finished up a baby shower gift for someone at work. She is due next month, and she's made a cute little animal nursery for her son, so I thought this would look cute in his room! I used Zooballoo for everything-the grass, letters, animals, and clouds. Then I rubbed in some blue ink for the sky, and used some puffy black paint for the eyes. The cat eyes look a little weird in the pic, but its just the flash!

Also, I won a blog candy from Janaina at http://2worldswings.blogspot.com I'm so excited! I never win anything! Well, I'm off for now. Time for bathtime, then putting Aaron to bed so I can sleep a little! I'll leave you with a really cute picture of Aaron trying to eat Rudolph! Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas cards and a mini album!

I hope you're all having a great weekend! I know I am! I woke up early to clean, worked on a few more Christmas gifts, and made a few cards! Great day! Tomorrow I'm planning on baking cookies and finishing up my photo screens for Christmas. Well, here are a few of the Christmas cards I made. I made them all with the Doodlecharms Cricut cart. I used DCWV Christmas paper, stickles, and Snowtex (LOVE this stuff!). I apologize for them being pretty simple-I'm not a card maker, but I'm trying!

Also, here is a mini album of Aaron that I made a few weeks ago. The album kit came from TLC. I'm sorry about the horrible flash in these pictures! I just wanted to show you the layouts!

Well, I'd better go figure out what to make for dinner and clean up my mess in my scrapbook room! I also just saw that I somehow got that snow stuff all over my hands and my clothes...Oops! Have a great night and thanks for stopping by!

We've been Elfed!

This is too cute! (Can't get the link right-will have to copy and paste!)

My Christmas Wreath!

I feel like I've been working on this thing forever! Things just get so crazy and hectic around Christmas that I feel like I'm not getting a thing done! Anyway, someone on the Cricut message board made a similar wreath for Halloween, and the idea just stuck with me so long that I decided to give it a try for Christmas! I purchased the silver wreath at Michael's (with my 40% off coupon, of course!). It is much prettier than it looks like in the photo! The large snowman was also purchased at Michaels, and I painted it white with glitter, tied a red and green snowflake ribbon around his neck, and gave him some silver buttons! I am still thinking about what to do with his mouth, and I want to make him a hat, too! The circles were cut with my George cart at 2 inches with a 2&1/4 inch shadow, and I just alternated the red and green. The reindeer, snowman, santa, tree, and stocking were all cut with Doodlecharms at 1&3/4. The snowflake was also a Doodlecharm, but I cut that at 4 inches since it was a group of 3. The present was cut at 1&3/4 as well with Stretch Your Imagination. Some things were embellished with silver Stickles to tie into the wreath. Sorry about the bad photo! I wish you could see the details better!

I hope you all have a great day! Thanks so much for looking!
