HappyScrappers Meeting and BIG NEWS!

First of all, I'm so sorry for being MIA for a while! This blog is going to be long I'm sure, so I apologize in advance. Things have just been insane, but more on that below. I really wanted to post a few layouts from HappyScrappers this weekend first! One of my good friends, Becky, is generous enough to hold a monthly get-together for a few of us to come to her house, use her space, eat her food and get some crafting done! She is the best! I count down the days each month to this because it is really the only time that I take for "me" away from home and my family. I've made lots of new friends and always come home with new supplies, ideas, and I actually get some work done! I finished 2 single page layouts, and I 90% completed a 2 page layout and a 3 page layout from our trip to see the Wiggles a few months ago. Here is the first layout:
I'm still a few months behind, but these were pictures of Aaron and his cousin Lexy from the summer. Aren't they too cute? Fairly simple as always. I used Scenic Route paper and chipboard accents. Also the letters are Making Memories rub ons which I could use for everything!

Here's the second page I did:

This one is REALLY simple. The paper is Creative Cafe. The chipboard letters are K&Co I believe. I NEVER use my own handwriting on my layouts, but this was different. A few months ago my mom, Aaron and I were in a car accident. I think we are all still traumatized by it. (Especially the car which was totaled!) We were rear ended by a huge van. I still look in my rear view mirror anytime we slow down to see if someone is going to hit us again! So I wanted to tell the story in my own writing. It turned out just the way I wanted. I didn't want anything extra taking away from the pictures and story!

So thats about all the work I've gotten done lately. What a slacker I am. I've just been sick and exhausted because...BABY #2 IS ON THE WAY! Yep, I'm pregnant. Little unexpected, but wonderful just the same. Please everyone cross your fingers for a girl! I am really, really sick this time around. And I'm also feeling a little down in the dumps because I just lost my job this week. "Budget-shmudget".... So financially, I'm freaking out a little about this new baby, but hopefully everything will work out. So that is my news and update since I've been gone for a while. I'm hoping to do a blog hop later tonight, but right now, Jamie, Aaron and I are going to put on our snow clothes and go play outside for a little while! I hope you all have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!

Congratulations! That is wonderful news! I love your layouts! The first one is fantastic, because the photographs are GREAT, and I love the blue and red! The second one is great, because it's so personal, and it's a story you wanted to tell, so the hand writing was the way to go! I'm so sorry to hear that you were in a car accident. That had to be very scary. It was one of my worst fears when my girls were little. Take care of yourself! I hope you had fun in the snow!

Hi Becky,
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a nice comment! I noticed that you are from WVA. My sister lives in Jeffrey WVA.
I love both of your pages! Love the colors on the first one and the pictures are so cute. The second one is so special! I'm sure that was a very traumatic experience. Just glad that you all came through it okay!
Congrats on your big news! I had really bad morning sickness with my youngest! I even lost 20 pounds in two weeks from it. Not fun but certainly worth it! My son is 11 and such a joy!
I will be praying for your financial situation!
